Hyderabad: Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha has announced the constitution of Yadagirigutta Temple Trust Board.

Speaking in the Assembly on Tuesday after the introduction of Telangana Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments (Amendment) Bill, 2025 in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Minister said there will be a Trust Board with 18 members, whose term of office will be two years. The Chairman and Members of the Board will not receive any salary and allowances, but will receive DAs. An IAS officer will be the Executive Officer of the temple. The Board's budget will be under the control of the government, Konda Surekha said.

The Minister said tha educational institutions and spiritual schools can be established and managed in Yadagirigutta under the management of the Board.

Konda Surekha further stated that all temples in Telangana that generate an income of Rs. 100 crore work under the auspices of the Endowments department.

The Minister said the Congress government has provided free bus facilities to women, which has increased the number of devotees visiting temples in Telangana.

She said that earlier, there were no proper facilities for the devotees in Yadagirigutta, but after the Congress came to power, it spent crores to provide facilities. In a bid to provide the better facilities, the State government has decided to form a Trust Board in Yadagirigutta, Konda Surekha added.

Later, the Speaker announced the passage of Bill unanimously in the Assembly.
